Tucked into the heart of Napa Valley, this Alila resort is an ideal retreat for couples, offering serene vineyard views and a quiet outdoor pool.
Alila Napa Valley is a Hyatt-affiliated resort set directly among the vineyards, capturing the quiet, laid-back essence of wine country. While the property is more intimate than larger resorts, that scale makes for a peaceful, low-key stay. The standout feature is undoubtedly the view of the vines right from your room.
At check-in, I was upgraded to a 2 Queen Beds Vineyard View Balcony room, but I requested a move to a Streamside Balcony Deluxe King instead, as I prefer a king bed. A bottle of welcome wine was waiting in the room, and we were offered a glass upon arrival—a lovely touch that set the tone for our Napa Valley stay.
Breakfast is served via an a la carte menu at the hotel restaurant.
There is an outdoor pool with vineyard views, providing a relaxing spot to enjoy the Napa Valley sun.
During our visit, the hotel offered wellness-focused activities like oil painting and perfume making, which fit the local Napa Valley vibe perfectly.
The staff prepared a surprise for my birthday. We also received a complimentary bottle of wine during dinner, and the service throughout our stay was consistently polished and attentive.
Valet parking is available. It is typically included in the resort fee, but it is best to confirm this at check-in.
Other fees: The standard resort fee is approximately $65 per night. However, in celebration of the 5th anniversary of Alila Napa Valley, the fee is waived for stays booked between March 15, 2026, and March 15, 2027.
The resort has a calm, quiet atmosphere, making it well-suited for those visiting for wine tasting or relaxation. Given the layout of the Napa Valley area, a car is essential; I recommend planning your transportation in advance if you intend to visit nearby wineries.
