This Stay at a Glance

Hyatt House LAX/Manhattan Beach is a three-story property featuring apartment-style rooms. It has more of a short-term residential feel than a traditional hotel, and I found the full kitchenβ€”equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, pots, and tablewareβ€”to be very convenient. (Note: there is no oven.) The layout is well-suited for travelers who prefer a home-like stay similar to an Airbnb. Despite being near the airport, I heard almost no airplane or exterior noise, and the location is relatively convenient for accessing LAX as well as Manhattan Beach, Torrance, and other parts of the West LA area.

The Hyatt House LAX/Manhattan Beach is located near LAX airport. The landscaping around the main entrance is well-kept, providing a neat first impression for guests arriving at or departing from the airport.
The lobby at Hyatt House LAX/Manhattan Beach feels spacious thanks to its high ceilings and large windows. It was a convenient spot for getting some work done during my stay and provided easy access to the outdoor pool.

Room Upgrade Experience

Room on this stayTwo-Bedroom Suite

I booked a Two-Bedroom Suite directly rather than relying on a suite upgrade. The ground-floor unit featured hardwood floors instead of carpet, making it feel clean and comfortable. The sofa was on the smaller side, though it wasn't a major issue for a long-term stay, and the spacious dining area was sufficient for light meals or working. Each room had both a long wardrobe and a walk-in closet, which made storing golf bags and large suitcases very convenient. The ground-floor unit also featured a dedicated pet door, which was a notable detail.

The living area in the Two-Bedroom Suite at Hyatt House LAX/Manhattan Beach features a separate desk and sofa space, which provided enough room to balance laptop work and relaxation during my stay.

Breakfast Experience

Complimentary breakfast

I didn't use the breakfast service often due to the abundance of local dining options in LA. The Hyatt House breakfast follows a standard American hotel format, consisting of egg dishes, ham or bacon, fruit, milk, and juice.

Pools & Facilities Experience

Outdoor poolWashing machineDryer

There is an outdoor pool and barbecue area to enjoy the warm LA weather.

A fire pit is available, which adds to the atmosphere in the evenings. While direct charging via a Tesla-specific cable is not possible, there are EVgo electric vehicle chargers available on-site.

The EVgo fast-charging stations in the Hyatt House LAX/Manhattan Beach parking lot made it easy to charge my rental car and manage my travel schedule efficiently during my stay.
During my stay at Hyatt House LAX/Manhattan Beach, I noted the outdoor pool is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with operating hours and safety guidelines clearly posted on the gate.

Before You Book

Hyatt House LAX/Manhattan Beach has several similarly named Hyatt House and Hyatt Place properties nearby, so be sure to verify the exact hotel name before arrival. The hotel has a three-story apartment-style layout where room doors open directly to the outside. This makes moving from the parking lot to the room very convenient and allows for better natural ventilation and lighting than a typical hotel. As of my May 2026 visit, mattress replacements were underway. Note that in the LA area, it is not possible to stay in the same room for more than 28 consecutive days, so a mid-stay checkout is required for long-term guests.
