Hyatt Place Bozeman Yellowstone Airport, which opened in December 2025, is the first Hyatt-branded property in the Bozeman area. Located in Belgrade—the gateway to Yellowstone National Park and Big Sky—it serves as an ideal basecamp for the start or end of a trip. While I initially questioned the category placement, which felt high for an airport-adjacent Hyatt Place, the hotel's fresh, modern common areas and high-quality dining facilities justified the value.

My stay served as a gathering point for friends preparing for a Yellowstone trip, and the Globalist upgrade to a Junior Suite provided a comfortable space for our group. Despite the proximity to the airport, there was no noise disturbance. The staff were welcoming throughout our stay, setting a positive tone for our travels. Rather than a substitute for lodging inside the national park, this hotel is an excellent choice for organizing itineraries or resting before and after exploring the region.

The most useful Globalist benefit during this stay was the upgrade to a junior suite. While the standard Hyatt Place 'Cozy Corner' is perfectly fine, the suite we were assigned featured a wall separating the living area from the bedroom, which made it much more comfortable for our group. The living room included an L-shaped sofa, an ottoman, and modern pendant lighting, providing plenty of space to organize our itinerary or unpack before and after our Yellowstone trip. The in-room wet bar was well-maintained with a coffee machine and glassware, and the bathroom layout—with the vanity separated from the toilet area—was convenient for multiple guests. The view overlooking the open plains of Belgrade and the distant mountain ranges added to the fresh, comfortable feel of this new-build property.

Breakfast follows the standard Hyatt Place format. It includes hot items like scrambled eggs and potato dishes, alongside staples such as fruit, yogurt, and granola. Rather than a gourmet experience, the focus here is on practicality—allowing guests to eat quickly before heading out to Yellowstone or Big Sky. This is a significant advantage on days with a long drive ahead, as it saves you from having to head into downtown Bozeman just to find a solid meal.

The lobby, with its central cylindrical fireplace and comfortable seating, is a great spot to relax or get some work done before or after check-in. The lounge area is decorated with regional touches like saddle-themed art and calm-toned furniture, creating a modern yet cozy atmosphere. Large windows throughout the hotel offer views of the Belgrade plains, and as expected with a new build, the hallways and common areas are kept in pristine condition.

Free self-parking is a welcome benefit for road-trip travelers. The lot is spacious, making it easy to load and unload luggage. The hotel also operates a free airport shuttle for guests using Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, providing excellent accessibility.

Hyatt Place Bozeman Yellowstone Airport serves as more than just an airport hotel; it is an ideal basecamp for the beginning or end of a Montana trip. It is well-positioned for planning, located about 90 minutes from Yellowstone National Park, an hour from Big Sky, and 10 minutes from downtown Bozeman. As a new property opened in December 2025, all facilities—including the lobby fireplace lounge, fitness center, and outdoor fire pits—are modern and well-maintained. While I initially questioned the higher category placement for a Hyatt Place, the quality of the facilities and the strategic location make it understandable. I recommend using this property not as a substitute for staying inside the national park, but as a place to gather with your group to start or conclude your journey.
