This Stay at a Glance

The Hyatt Regency Seattle is a large-scale property in the heart of the city, popular with both tourists and business travelers. Having visited Seattle several times and stayed here on multiple occasions, I found the view from my room particularly striking this trip. Returning late in the evening, the city skyline offered a welcome sense of calm. Given the hotel's scale and well-maintained facilities, it remains a reliable choice for any downtown Seattle stay.

Though not a suite, I was assigned a high-floor room with an excellent view. The room itself wasn't particularly large, but the sweeping night view of downtown Seattle was impressive. It was a great vantage point to enjoy the city lights at night and the quiet, unique atmosphere of Seattle in the morning.

Lounge Experience

The club lounge at Hyatt Regency Seattle currently functions more as a workspace than a traditional lounge. It seems the operational model shifted post-COVID; the space is pleasant for working, thanks to ample seating and natural light. However, it lacks the happy hour or meal service typically expected at a Hyatt Regency club lounge. For Globalist guests, it was a bit underwhelming, as only fruit, cookies, and coffee were available.

I had breakfast at the Hyatt Regency Seattle Regency Club lounge during my visit in the summer of 2025. Cereal and fresh fruit were neatly arranged on the island bar, and the natural light coming through the floor-to-ceiling windows made for a calm morning.

Breakfast Experience

The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options. The selection of hot and cold dishes, fruit, and bakery items was well-balanced, making it easy to find something for every palate.

Pools & Facilities Experience

The hotel features a large fitness center equipped with enough gear to maintain a workout routine during a business trip. The overall layout leans toward a business hotel rather than a leisure resort, but the high room count and spacious public areas make the interior feel comfortable and uncrowded.

Resort Fee & Parking Check

Parking typeCovered parkingParking fee$65No valet fee recorded for this stayResort fee$29Other fees

Given the hotel's downtown location, parking fees are relatively high. Many guests prefer to get around by foot or public transit rather than by car.

Other fees: Despite being a downtown hotel, Hyatt Regency Seattle charges a daily Destination Fee. In return, you receive a $15 daily food and beverage credit for use at The Market inside the hotel. I found it useful for picking up drinks, snacks, or cookies. Given the limited club lounge service, this credit felt like a practical benefit for Globalist guests.

Before You Book

Hyatt Regency Seattle is located right next to the Seattle Convention Center, catering to high business travel demand, but it is also conveniently situated for tourists, with major attractions like Pike Place Market accessible by foot or public transit.
