This Stay at a Glance

Hyatt Regency Seattle is a large hotel located in the heart of Seattle, frequently visited by both tourists and business travelers. Having stayed here multiple times during my visits to the city, I found the view from my assigned room on this trip particularly impressive. Returning to the room late in the evening, the view of the Seattle night skyline helped me unwind. Given its large scale and well-maintained facilities, it is a reliable downtown hotel suitable for both leisure and business travel.

While not a suite, I was assigned a room on a high floor with an excellent view. The room size was not particularly large, but the view of the Seattle city skyline from the high floor was impressive. I could fully enjoy the city lights at night and the calm, characteristic atmosphere of Seattle in the morning from inside the room.

Lounge Experience

AvailableAll-day snacksFruit, cookies, coffeeNo complimentary alcohol

The Regency Club at Hyatt Regency Seattle currently operates primarily as a workspace rather than a traditional lounge. It appears the service model changed post-COVID; while the space is comfortable for working with ample seating and natural light, it does not offer the happy hour or meal service typically expected at a Hyatt Regency club lounge. As a Globalist, I found it disappointing that only fruit, cookies, and coffee were available.

I had breakfast at the Hyatt Regency Seattle Regency Club lounge during my visit in the summer of 2025. Cereal and fresh fruit were neatly arranged on the island bar, and the natural light coming through the floor-to-ceiling windows made for a calm morning.

Breakfast Experience

The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food. The selection of hot and cold items, fruits, and bakery goods was well-balanced, making it easy to find something to suit my taste.

Pools & Facilities Experience

The hotel's fitness center is large and equipped with enough gear to maintain a workout routine while traveling. The overall facility setup is closer to a business hotel than a leisure resort, but the large number of rooms and spacious common areas made the interior feel quite comfortable.

Resort Fee & Parking Check

Parking typeCovered parkingParking fee$65No valet fee recorded for this stayResort fee$29Other fees

Due to the hotel's downtown location, parking fees are relatively high. Many guests prefer to travel by foot or public transportation rather than by car.

Other fees: Despite being a downtown hotel, Hyatt Regency Seattle charges a daily Destination Fee. In return, a $15 daily food and beverage credit is provided for use at The Market inside the hotel. I found it useful for purchasing simple drinks, snacks, or cookies. Given the current limited club lounge service, this credit felt like a practical benefit for Globalist guests.

Before You Book

Hyatt Regency Seattle is located right next to the Seattle Convention Center, attracting many business travelers, but its location is also convenient for tourists as major attractions like Pike Place Market are accessible by foot or public transit.
